Tasker Reunion
At the end of June Harris and I went to the Tasker Family Reunion in Utah. It was a blast! We camped overnight and were able to hang out with family. We got a kick out of Tiffani and Jay’s “tent”. They put a mattress in the back of their truck and draped a tarp over it.
We got to play a bunch of games since the reunion had a sports theme. They had soccer, golf, baseball, basketball, horseshoes, roping, etc. It was really fun and the food was AMAZING as always! It was really nice to get away for a weekend and visit with our family.
4th of July
My brother Tyler and his friends came to visit us for the 4th of July weekend. We did a lot of things together. We went to the pool and went to see "Date Night" at the dollar theatre. Then we got to go see all of the fairs and festivities on Center Street. It was fun to walk around and see all of the events. We were able to go to the historic print shop and see the old printing presses and the original scriptures in latin.
We got to stop at all of the shops and saw a reptile show, fire and knife jugglers, and clog dancers.
We also went to go see the fireworks. While we were waiting for the show to start, we let off a few of our own fireworks and played cards.
We also went to the grand parade. It was really funny to Harris and I to see 3 temple replicas, missionaires, and at least 6 stake floats in the parade! Ha ha only in Utah! We also got to see BMX bikers in the parade which was one of the coolest floats. After the parade we went to a car show which I think was Harris’s favorite activity!
Payson Activities
We also just recently were able to go to the Scottish Festival in Payson. We saw a lot of kilts and bag pipes.
On that Sunday we went with Harris’s grandparents (Harry and Shirley) to see the band music in the park. It was really nice weather and we found out the Shirley used to play a mean saxophone!
